Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational
networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered
in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is the largest telecommunications equipment
manufacturer in the world, having overtaken Ericsson in 2012.
In 2010, Huawei recorded profit of 3.7 billion USD. Its products and services have been deployed in more than 140 countries and it currently serves 45 of the world’s 50 largest telecoms operators. Bruce Carrington is a solutions architect from Huawei. With the experience of working in the industry such as Lenovo, Dell and Compaq, Mr. Carrington will share with us Huawei’s technology innovation and vision into the new era. Based in Houston Texas, Bruce has worked across a number of industries including technology, airline, banking and the military. He has an extensive background in technology solutions sales with a focus on infrastructure and data center. This includes work with corporate, enterprise and commercial customers as well as in the education and public sectors, state and local government. He has broad experience with varied vendor networking, server and storage technologies. Prior to his time at Huawei, Bruce worked in similar capacities in Enterprise Systems at Lenovo, at Dell Networking and at Hewlett-Packard as Enterprise Consultant and Senior Infrastructure Architect. In the late 90's Bruce relocated from Australia to Houston with Compaq Computer Corporation prior to Compaq's merger with HP. Before joining Compaq in a presales SE role, Bruce was the IT, Communications & Business Systems Manager for Air New Zealand's operations Australia wide. Previously he had 12 years in IT operations and IT related sales and marketing roles with Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. |
