The theme of this year's annual conference focuses on career development for international students in the U.S. We invited three distinguished keynote speakers from different industries to create meaningful dialogues on topics such as job searching strategies including tips for interviews, professional self-development and career transition, and options for career development in the U.S. other than working under an H1B visa. At the panel discussion section, there will be three recent and upcoming graduates who received offers from companies like Citigroup and PwC to share their experiences and stories with the students. We also highly recommend attending our networking lunch where you can have the opportunity to sit with out speakers and exchange ideas face to face.

Jonathan YingOVERVIEW
Professor Ying will discuss job search strategies for international students seeking employment in the U.S. from a human resource manager’s perspective. BIOGRAPHY Professor Ying teaches at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. Dr. Ying specializes in organizational behavior, human resources, transnational entrepreneurship, high-skilled immigration, and global leadership development. |
Jennifer LiOVERVIEW
At the conference, Jennifer will share her experience and summary about career development and self-development at work. BIOGRAPHY Jennifer Li is the Vice President of Strategic Development at Pactera Technology International Ltd who have already worked in information technology professional field for over 15 years. After her ten years technical experience at Microsoft and achievement in MBA education, Jennifer completed her transition from technical to executive manager. |
Susan Choi & Pak ChoiOVERVIEW
Susan and Pak will introduce to the students other potential working opportunities within US. BIOGRAPHY Susan Choi and Pak Choi are the founders of Enlighten Learning Program at Purdue University that concentrates on improving international students social, inter-personnel and entrepreneurship skills. Susan and Pak have great passion and expertise in mentoring and developing full potentials of individuals for success in the corporate world. |
Panel Discussion
Jing Su received the offer of Incoming Risk
Assurance Associate at PwC at her senior year. Jing is an accounting student at Purdue University who cultivated strong professional and leadership skills from her internship and student organization involvement. |
Sophia Zhao will start her career as a Junior
Consultant at A.T. Kearney Chicago location in July. Sophia graduated from Purdue University Supply Chain Management Technology Master program. She will provide the audience with her experience finding ideal jobs as a graduate student. |
Hongyi Ju is a graduating senior at the
University of Chicago major in Economics and Political Science. Immediately following graduation, he will work at Citigroup, Institutional Clients Group, Corporate Finance in Hong Kong as Investment Banking Analyst. |
